Practiced a little, watched a few videos, and talked to a Yo'ing fried. This friend's name is Paul Zografos, he is a fellow Skilltoys member. His name is Paul there, formely Novocane, formally Eternal. I talk to him on AOL Instant Messanger constantly. Today I talked to him about the one and a half mount. We got into talking about are favorite tricks, mine being the matrix. Him liking Rancid Milk. He sent me a video -- and that trick is pretty sick! I just chatted it up with him, and then I talked to YoMike owner of Theyostore. I talked to him, and I decided to help him out a little bit. I had recently told him that I was willing to do something to help out his site. So, he told me I could update TheYo Info Page. Boy did I dig myself deep. I don't know HTML, but that's where my genius cousin comes into play. Im going to type it up in word, and he is going to make it in the correct format.
Basically what I am doing is I am going to put all the Yo-Yo's located in TheYoStore into that page. Only problem is, I don't know all the information about the Yo's. I dont know the weight of most of them, or what kind of response system they have. If you would like to help me out -- just email me at firecalibur@gmail.com or comment here. Just put it in this format.

Weight:
Adjustable Gap: (yes or no)
Response: Friction disk, Dual O-Ring, Hybrid, Starburst
Price: (on yo store)
Rating: 1-5 stars

Thankyou if you help me. I need all the help I can get -- there's 91 Yo-Yo's!!!
Im going to be a busy bee on this for the next few days, any help would make me extremely greatfull.
Off to work I go!

Oh, I almost forgot. I am going to get an aquarias probably, to learn OS with in my next order. I am still not sure though.

-Wizard

"Oh, Cut the Malarkey!"

Day 2

Today was another day of tame Yo-Yo'ing. I just repeated practicing boing-e-boing, and I am trying to master the Two and a Half Mount. I'm doing pretty bad at it, I can do it, but the string doesn't wrap around the throwfinger when it flips over the bottom of the string. If you have any hints or tips for me, just comment about it here! Other than that, I didn't Yo-Yo too much. I did read the forums on TheYo and Skilltoys, and while reading over TheYo, I read this thread about YoYoRadio, and checked it out. I went to listen to Radio Kwikibo, I registered, and listened. It stared Doctor Popular (docpop) and RJ Owens. I listened tentivly for a few moments and it was hilarious! I am still listening to it at the current time. Hearing Doctor Popular say "Dont ever question me again!" was absolutly hilarious! You should realy check it out. I listened to YoYoRadio, not Kwijibo, and it was funny. This is way better though. Props to DocPop and RJ! You rock.
I will try to tune in live as often as possible. Docpop is my new idol. He is so original. His routines are nothing like anything I have ever seen in the Yo-Yo World.

Off to watch Niviks New Video on Anti-Yo, located here. I just watched the video, and it was absolutly sick! Nivik is a absolutly awsome Yo-Yo'er! The only thing wrong with the video is that the music is made by a child molesting freak, and no it's not Micheal Jackson, its R. Kelly. He did a pretty sweet dance, and the flop he did was amazing! If you havn't seen it, check it out now. Congradulation's Nivik for getting onto Anti-Yo -- and that fluch is as sexy as you! I cant wait to see what the Eesit looks like! The Fluch was Panties, and the Eesit is going to be a sweet thong! If you didn't know, because you can't read the front of a T-Shirt, Anti-Yo is the one that makes the shirt that says "i don't walk the dog". See it here:

Anti-Yo Shirt Front Side

Anti-Yo Shirt Back side

Let's get back to me.Judging by the fact that the Lyn Fury is my best Yo-Yo, you can tell that I am new. I can do some decently hard tricks with my Lyn, but I think it's time to move up. I have $42.00 now, and I am trying to get $60.00, because at $50.00 you can get free shipping from TheYoStore. I posted what I wanted yesterday, but I think I have changed my mind. I changed it because instead of getting a BigYo2 to learn offstring, I though maybe I should get better at 1A first. This isn't for sure, but here is a rough idea of what I want to order:

Buzz-on Element-X Remix -- $27.95
100 Slick 6 Yellowish Green String -- $10.95
Tell me what else I should get by commenting here.

That's about all I did today.
If you wan't me to talk about anything at any time, just post a comment here, or PM me on either TheYo or Skilltoys message board's.

-Wizard

"Oh, Cut the Malarkey!"

Day 1

Welcome to the Jungle, we've got fun and games...
Hey Guys! Welcome, this is my daily blog of my Yo-Yo'ing experience, read, and enjoy.

First, I would like to tell you a little about myself.
I started Yo-Yo'ing during the craze of the late 90's. At that time, I had a Duncan Butterfly, a Yomega Firestorm, and a Yomega X-Brain. Those were the day's. We would bring our Yo-Yo's to school and see who could sleep there's the longest, and the hard tricks were "Rock the Baby" and "Around the world". I stoped Yo-Yo'ing around the same time that the big boom of popularity of the Yo-Yo stoped, until recently.

What got me back into Yo-Yo's you ask? Simple. My brother and my mom went shopping at a grocery store called Winco foods, where aparently they sell toys. My brother was bored, and so he decided to buy a Yo-Yo for $2.00 -- It was a Duncan Imperial (Midnight Edition). I played with it and it reminded me of the good old day's, so I was like, maybe I should get back into Yo-Yo'ing. That's when it all began... again. When I decided to get a Yo-Yo, I decided I would do a little research on them first. So what I did was I went to a website you are all familiar with, Google. I went there, and being the avid computer user that I am, I thought to search for a Yo-Yo'ing community who was quite knowledgable of the hobby, and that's where I came across TheYo. If you have never heard of Theyo, its a website with a store, TheYoStore , but it also has forums with a large group of people. The owner of the store, YoMike, is really really reliable and great. (Don't mean to plug the site in my blog, but it's the truth). So I looked around the forums and decided they were well put together, and were a great place to learn, so I signed up. For those of you who didn't figure it out already, my login name is Wizard . So I posted a few messages, and after a long period of thought, I decided that then YoYoJam Lyn Fury would be my best option. Later that day, I asked my mom if she would order it for me, and I gave her my money for it. My exact order was a YoYoJam Lyn Fury, and 100 Slick 6 50% cotton/50% polyester White String. When my mom payed for the item, she payed be e-check, which takes a while to clear, so Mike was unable to ship it until it was cleared. I kept bugging him and bugging him asking if it was cleared, and finally it was! He told me he would give me a bit of extra stuff because of the wait. I ended up getting the package three days after, opened it, and there was the Lyn Fury, and the String I ordered, but there was also Yomega Brain Lube, a Duncan Mosquito, and Yomega Yo Tape. At first instant, I took out my Lyn, threw it down, and I was in love again. Since then, I have mastered most of the basic's, I have learned some of the intermediate and advanced tricks, and I am learning more and more every day. I also bought a Freehand 2 from target and learned some of the basics of freehand play. I also got another order of 100 string, and I got twenty friction stickers, a thin dif-pad, a thick dif-pad, 2 red YoYoJam shims, and two Grey YoYoJam shims.

Soon, I am purchasing an Element-X Remix (recessed medium bearing SPR) made by Buzz-on Industries. I will also hopefully be getting a YoYoJam Bigyo2, 100 more strings, and a Duncan Yo-Yo Glove (rope burn on my non-throwhand...).

Anyway, here is what I did today:

I didn't Yo-Yo much today, because I was at my neighbors, but I did for a bit. I was using my YoYoJam Lyn Fury, with a cleaned bearing, red shims, and weight rings. This is my best Yo-Yo for the time being. I mostly practiced with Eli Hops. I can do about ten consecutivly, compared too the two I could do yesterday. I also showed my neighbors friend a few tricks, and let him play with my Mosquito. I showed him the best trick I can do as of now, The Matrix.
This was the very first day I didn't Yo-Yo for over thirty minutes since I got my Lyn Fury. I practice... Alot. Right now, I am trying to master the "One and a Half Mount".
Overall, today wasn't the best Yo-Yo'ing day, but I definatly did improve.
-Wizard

"Oh, Cut the Malarkey!"
